BIOGRAPHY
Ali Hegazy, an Egyptian filmmaker born in 1994, is deeply passionate about filmmaking. He has dedicated himself to mastering all aspects of the art and gaining extensive experience through numerous and diverse projects. He specializes in producing, directing, and teaching documentary films. He has participated in several film festivals and won multiple awards.
FILMOGRAPHY
Ali has worked on 234 minutes and 16 seconds of content across various project genres, including a 44-minute TV documentary for Al Jazeera Documentary Channel. As an assistant producer, he worked on a comedy TV show for ON channel and Abu Dhabi TV.
INITIATIVES
Ali created two blogs to support filmmakers: "Filmmakers Zone," offering tutorials and industry insights, and "Documentaries Watchlist," featuring curated documentary recommendations. Both blogs aim to share knowledge and inspire the filmmaking community.
HONORS AND AWARDS
The short documentary film "Fear" won the Audience Award at the Mentor Arabia Film Competition in 2022. It was also selected to participate in the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival, the International Short Film Festival Detmold in 2021, the MAX3MIN—Very Short Film Festival, the MedFest in 2023, and the Aflamuna Short Film Competition in 2024. Ali worked on this film as a One-Man Crew.

The short documentary film "Persistent" was selected to be part of the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival and the Faludi International Film Festival in 2021, the Meihodo International Youth Visual Media Festival and the Lift-Off Global Network in 2022, and the Marrakech Short Film Festival in 2023. Ali worked on this film as an Executive Producer.

The short documentary film "Helm Fi Zarf" was selected to be part of the Visions Cairo Short Film Festival Panorama Section in 2018 and was subsequently screened at the Spanish Consulate. Ali worked on this film as an Assistant Producer and Cinematographer.


The short fiction film "Atlantis" won the Audience Award at the 2-Minute Movie Competition launched by MBC2 and Ajyal Film Festival in 2016, and it aired on the Scoop with Raya program on the MBC2 channel. Ali worked on this film as a Producer.

The short documentary film "KHADIJA" was selected for the Malmö Arab Film Festival Short Corner and the Faludi International Film Festival in 2016 and was subsequently screened at the Spanish Consulate. Ali worked on this film as a Creative Director.
